SUMMARY:Holy Trinity Trefnant celebrates Palm Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday 13th April at 9:30am in Holy Trinity\, Trefnant\, for a celebration of Palm Sunday. We will be remembering Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey whilst the crowds waved palm branches. We couldn’t manage a donkey but we will be joined by Princess Maisie the Shetland Pony\, who will be leading us on a procession around the outside of the church (weather permitting) so wear comfortable shoes! \nThe service will last for about 45 minutes. After the service we have tea\, coffee and plenty of cake (donation basis). We would love to see you. \nSuitable for all ages.

SUMMARY:Prayers and Create Celebrates Easter
DESCRIPTION:This service is aimed at primary school children and their parents\, but all ages are welcome. \nHave a snack as you listen to a bible story and then let your imagination run free as you respond in whatever artistic way feels appropriate to you. Model it in clay or lego\, draw a picture\, retell the story with the props. It’s up to you but we are on hand to give ideas if needed. \nAs this session falls in the Easter holidays we have changed the time to earlier in the day. So make sure you turn up at 2pm and don’t miss it!

Turn up between 10am and 12pm to join in the fun. \nFollow a trail around Tremeirchion churchyard taking part in interactive activities finishing with cooking around the fire pit. We always toast marshmallows but there may be some extra surprises in store \n.

SUMMARY:Maundy Thursday Service
DESCRIPTION:Our Maundy Thursday service is at 6:30pm in Holy Trinity\, Trefnant. \nDuring it we remember Jesus last meal with his friends. He washed their feet to tell them that as well as being God he was also their servant\, and that we as his disciples should also serve each other. At the end of the meal he shared bread and wine with them and told them to remember him each time they had bread and wine. Then they went to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was arrested after being betrayed by one of his disciples. \nThis service starts around tables at the back of the church. During the service we hear about Jesus meal with his friends. We are given the opportunity to have our feet washed or to have our hands annointed with oil. Then everyone brings a plate of food so that we can share a meal together. At the end of the meal we share bread and wine to remember Jesus. Then we move to the front of the church where we strip away all the ‘extras’ from the chancel e.g. candles and altar linen until we are left with a bare altar table. We sit quietly for half an hour\, listening to short Taize chants as we think about Jesus in the Garden. Before leaving in silence.
